Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Guardfather Security website (guardfather.co.uk) and any purchase you make through it. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Who We Are

Guardfather Security is a trading name of SafeQuote Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15892478). Our contact email is support@guardfather.co.uk.

2. The Contract Between Us

When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the products at the prices listed. No contract is formed until we email you to confirm dispatch of the order. We may decline an order at our discretion (e.g. stock unavailability, suspected fraud, or pricing error) — if we do, we will refund any payment in full.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Prices may change at any time but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Payment is processed securely by Stripe and PayPal — we never store full payment card details.

4. Delivery

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only. Free UK delivery applies to all bundle orders and to any order totalling £150 or more. For add-on-only orders under £150, a standard delivery charge applies at checkout.

We send every order by Royal Mail Tracked 24 and post it by the next working day after your order is placed. Royal Mail aims to deliver the next working day after posting, including Saturdays. This is Royal Mail's delivery aim rather than a guarantee, and busy periods such as Christmas can add a little time. Your tracking details are emailed to you once your order is on its way.

If delivery is delayed beyond 30 days from your order date, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

5. Risk and Ownership

Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered. Ownership of the goods passes to you when full payment has been received and the goods have been delivered.

6. Product Suitability and Installation

Our products are designed for typical UK residential use. It is your responsibility to ensure suitability for your specific property. We provide install videos and customer support to help — but we cannot accept responsibility for incorrect installation by the customer. If you are unsure, we recommend professional installation.

7. Warranty

Every Guardfather device comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of delivery, covering faults in materials and workmanship that develop through normal use. This warranty applies to every Guardfather order, whenever it was placed.

The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modification, or batteries that have run down through normal use. A battery that fails early because it is faulty is covered.

To make a warranty claim, contact support@guardfather.co.uk with your order number and a description of the issue. We will replace the faulty device free of charge, including postage. If a replacement is not possible, we will repair it or give you a refund for that device.

This warranty is given by SafeQuote Ltd, trading as Guardfather Security, 61 Everard Avenue, Sheffield, S17 4LY. It covers products delivered within the United Kingdom and is in addition to your statutory rights, which it does not affect (see section 8).

8. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including:

  • The Consumer Rights Act 2015 (rights regarding faulty, mis-described, or unfit goods)
  • The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (14-day cancellation right for distance sales)

Our 60-day money-back guarantee is an additional commercial offer that goes beyond your statutory rights — see our Returns & Refunds Policy for details.

9. Cancellations and Returns

You have the right to cancel and return any order under our 60-day money-back guarantee. Full details, eligibility, and process are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

10. Liability

Our total liability to you for any single claim arising from your use of our website or products is limited to the total amount you paid for the order in question, except where liability cannot legally be limited (e.g. for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses (e.g. loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of data).

We do not guarantee that our products will prevent every possible burglary or security incident. While Guardfather alarms are designed to deter, detect, and alert, no security system can offer absolute protection. Insurance and reasonable home security practices remain your responsibility.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Guardfather Security website (text, images, logos, videos, design) is owned by SafeQuote Ltd or licensed for our use. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without our written permission.

12. Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website lawfully and not to attempt to gain unauthorised access, distribute malicious software, or scrape content for commercial use. We reserve the right to refuse service or restrict access where misuse is suspected.

13. Privacy and Cookies

Your use of our website and our handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to your order is the version in effect at the time you placed your order. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
